Huangshan Geopark conducted a training program for flood control backbone staff

To further improve the flood control and drought relief capacity at the grassroots level and strengthen emergency response capabilities, on April 10, the Flood Control Office organized the 2026 Flood Control and Drought Relief Business Training at the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Management Center. Nearly 40 flood control backbone staff from various departments of the Administrative Committee, group companies, joint-stock companies, and on-mountain business units gathered together to “recharge and upskill.”

The training was closely aligned with the practical needs of flood control work in the scenic area. Participants systematically studied the Emergency Plan for Flood Control and Drought Relief of the Huangshan Scenic Area and the “Alert and Response” linkage mechanism for flood early warning and emergency response in the Huangshan Scenic Area. They also watched footage of flood rescue operations in surrounding counties and districts in recent years. Staff from the Flood Control Office provided a detailed, illustrated explanation of basic flood control knowledge and the specific characteristics of flood control in the Huangshan Scenic Area.
