On the first day of the Chinese New Year, Huangshan Geopark unveiled a breathtaking winter spectacle as rime ice adorned the peaks and blended seamlessly with rolling seas of clouds, creating a fairy-tale landscape that drew visitors from across the country to celebrate the Spring Festival.

Along the mountain trails, families and friends dressed in colorful winter attire hiked together, surrounded by magnificent scenery at every turn. Red lanterns and traditional Chinese knots, set against shimmering icicles, added a vibrant festive touch to the icy landscape. Many visitors stopped at specially designed New Year photo spots to capture joyful moments of reunion and renewal.

At the square near the iconic Guest-Greeting Pine, crowds gathered to admire the ancient tree, often regarded as a national treasure. Draped in silver frost, the thousand-year-old pine stood tall and resilient, its emerald needles encased in crystalline ice. On the first day of the New Year, visitors lined up along the railings to take photos with the legendary tree as a backdrop.

According to local meteorological authorities, clear and pleasant weather is expected to prevail in the geopark over the coming week, offering favorable conditions for sightseeing. Visitors are advised to make reservations in advance and take precautions against the cold while ensuring safety on mountain trails.
