On January 15, the Transportation Bureau of the Huangshan Scenic Area organized and convened the final (handover) acceptance meeting for the geological hazard mitigation project at K2+870 m and other sections of the Yuntang Line.
After hearing reports from the participating units, including the project owner, designer, contractor, supervision agency, and quality inspection body, and conducting on-site inspections as well as a review of the project documentation, the expert panel unanimously concluded that the project procedures were lawful and compliant, the overall construction quality and visual appearance were good, and the works met the design requirements and relevant technical standards. The project quality was rated as qualified, and the panel agreed to approve the project for final acceptance.
The geological hazard mitigation project at K2+870 m and other sections of the Yuntang Line involved clearing unstable rock masses on slopes, installing grid anchor cable systems and micropile slab retaining walls, and deploying SNS active protective netting, thereby enhancing roadway safety. In addition, measures such as the use of real stone paint and cement mortar finished to resemble pine bark were adopted to harmonize with the surrounding scenic environment. These efforts have effectively improved the road environment and aesthetics, providing visitors with a smooth, safe, comfortable, and visually pleasing travel experience.
