In order to implement the requirements of the Municipal Safety Production Committee Office's Notice on Carrying Out the Forest Fire Prevention Theme Month and in response to the severe situation of persistent sunny and dry weather with high fire risk, the Landscape Bureau and the Tanjiaqiao Town Government recently jointly conducted a forest fire emergency drill in Xiawang Group, Zhongdun Village.

The emergency drill was based on the scenario of "a fire caused by smoking in violation of regulations in the forest" — simulating a situation where workers smoking in violation of regulations in the forest area carelessly discarded unextinguished cigarette butts, igniting dry grass, and the fire spread rapidly under the influence of wind, forming a large-scale fire emergency. This was done to test the emergency response capabilities of the firefighting team and their ability to work together in regional joint prevention and control in such sudden scenarios. The drill focused on practical needs, with key aspects including fire detection and reporting, rapid team assembly, on-site command, firefighting, and fire site clearance.

With the commander's order, all firefighting teams responded quickly and rushed to the fire scene with professional firefighting equipment. Upon arrival, the participants strictly followed the principle of "striking early, striking small, and striking thoroughly." Under the command of the on-site commander, they worked in perfect harmony: the high-pressure pump team quickly set up a long-distance water supply line to form a continuous water source; the wind firefighting machine team accurately suppressed the fire head to contain the spread of the fire; the high-pressure water mist team cooled and isolated the edge fire points to prevent reignition; and the cleanup team meticulously cleared remaining fire hazards with tools. The entire drill was carried out in a standardized, orderly, and tightly connected manner. After tens of minutes of intense firefighting, the open flames at the scene were completely extinguished, and the drill achieved the expected results.

This joint drill activity provided all participants with valuable experience in a realistic exercise scenario, effectively enhancing their ability to respond quickly, handle scientifically, and work collaboratively in the face of sudden fire emergencies.
