On-site Assessment of Protection and Management Effectiveness at Huangshan World Heritage Site by National Forestry and Grassland Administration

Recently, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration sent an expert team to the Huangshan World Heritage Site to conduct an on-site assessment of the effectiveness of its natural heritage protection and management.

The evaluation team visited several key locations, including the Huangshan Scenic Area Command and Dispatch Center, the studios of “China’s Good People” Li Peisheng and Hu Xiaochun, and the Yuping District. They conducted thorough evaluations of measures such as rotational closures of scenic spots, protection of ancient and famous trees, application of drone technology, and inspected the use of technological equipment like mountain-climbing exoskeletons.

After the field assessment, the meeting on Huangshan World Natural Heritage evaluation was held. The expert team received a comprehensive report on the site’s protection and management work and exchanged views on related topics.

The National Forestry and Grassland Administration plans to officially release the evaluation results this year, which will provide important guidance and a basis for the continuous improvement of protection and management at the Huangshan World Heritage Site.
