Cross-Regional, Multi-Agency Operation Targets Illegal Road Transport in Geopark

On April 10, the Geopark’s Traffic Law Enforcement Team conducted a joint operation in collaboration with the Traffic Police, the Huangshan District Tourism Comprehensive Law Enforcement Team, the Municipal Traffic Law Enforcement Team, and the Huangshan District Traffic Law Enforcement Team. This initiative featured cross-regional cooperation and multi-agency coordination, with a focus on targeted enforcement within the road transportation sector.

During the operation, law enforcement personnel concentrated on cracking down on illegal transportation activities, including unlicensed drivers and vehicles engaged in road transport, tourist charter buses operating outside of their designated areas or in violation of approved itineraries, unauthorized or illegally operating ride-hailing vehicles, and severely overloaded freight vehicles. The objective was to eliminate safety hazards, maintain market order in road transportation, and safeguard the well-being of tourists and the general public.

A total of five enforcement vehicles and eighteen officers were deployed, inspecting forty-five vehicles of various types. One illegally operating vehicle and one ride-hailing vehicle lacking the necessary operating permit were seized. In line with the principle of “combining education with enforcement,” law enforcement personnel issued stern warnings and provided educational guidance to the involved drivers, helping them recognize the serious consequences of their actions. Legal procedures were initiated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Looking ahead, the Geopark’s Traffic Law Enforcement Team will continue to enhance cross-regional joint enforcement and strengthen inter-agency collaboration. Special attention will be given to key periods such as the tea season, May Day holiday, Dragon Boat Festival, and summer vacation, with ongoing efforts to rectify irregularities and crack down on all forms of illegal transportation activities.
