Tianhai Scenic Area of Huangshan UNESCO Gloabl Geopark Introduces Local Experts for Employee Training

The Tianhai Scenic Area of Huangshan UGGp, based on its unique characteristics, has carefully recruited a group of high-quality local development consultants to contribute to the area’s long-term growth. So far, five professional training sessions have been conducted, with a total of 216 participants trained.

Since hosting a development experience-sharing seminar in August 2024, the Tianhai area has been actively exploring pathways and methods for conservation, management, development, and minor reforms and innovations. Traditionally, cadre training has relied heavily on external experts, which, while introducing cutting-edge ideas, has shown certain limitations in addressing local realities. Local experts bring practical advantages. These local experts, having long been deeply involved in the scenic area’s development, possess a profound understanding of the area’s resource endowments, management foundations, and socio-cultural environment. Their extensive practical experience gives them an unparalleled advantage when leading training sessions. The course content delivered by these experts is closely tailored to the actual needs and development challenges of the Tianhai area.

For example, when explaining team culture, they integrate the area’s innovative mechanisms and service philosophies, elaborating on how to create distinctive products adapted to local conditions. When sharing experiences in social governance, they draw from real-life cases within the area, analyzing the root causes of issues and presenting effective solutions. This approach allows trainees to relate closely to the content and acquire practical skills that can be directly applied to their work.

This training model has generated significant positive impacts. On one hand, trainees’ acceptance and recognition of the training content have improved considerably. Compared to previous theoretical courses that often lacked practical relevance, the sessions led by local experts are more grounded in reality. This enables cadres to quickly apply what they’ve learned to their work, handling complex problems and unexpected situations with greater confidence.

On the other hand, this approach maximizes the leadership and influence of local experts, allowing outstanding talent to shine within the area. It also inspires the broader community to actively participate in development efforts, thereby enhancing the overall quality and capabilities of the cadre team in the Tianhai area.
