A delegation from Russia’s Irkutsk State Technical University visits Huangshan

Recently, a research and scientific expedition team composed of 19 people from Irkutsk State Technical University of Russia visited Huangshan to carry out scientific research activities.

The theme of this visit is the environmental change under human activities and natural processes in the rapid economic development area and its response to global change. It conducts scientific research on the geological landform, geographical environment, hydrological water quality, biodiversity and other aspects of Mount Huangshan from the perspective of geology, geophysics, hydrogeology and other disciplines.

This is the 2nd visit of this university in Huangshan. Back in 2019, it completed three papers focusing on the Cenozoic volcanic activity and the process of external force, taking Mount Huangshan as an example, and published them in the academic journal Earth Sciences and Subsoil Use in 2020.
