Huangshan UGGp attended the 8th APGN symposium

The 8th APGN symposium was held in Cao Bang UGGp in Vietnam from Sep.9th to 15th. Over 60 geoparks and more than 800 experts, scholars, and representatives from and organizations from China, Malaysia, Iran, India, and Morocco participated. Huangshan UGGp was invited to attend the meeting.

The theme of this symposium is "Local/Indigenous Peoples and Sustainable Development in Geoparks", focusing on six sub-themes, including Heritage Discovery, Protection, and Sustainable Utilization, Geoparks and Regional Sustainable Development and so on, and held activities such as the UGGp Council meeting, the 20th anniversary celebration of the establishment of GGN, exhibitions, and field visit.

Huangshan UGGp has participated in various activities. At the Geopark Exhibition, the we promoted Huangshan's tourism resources, cultural and creative products, attracting participants from South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries. At the scientific session, the value of Huangshan resources and the public science popularization project, Huangshan Nature Lecture were introduced in the form of PPT, which was unanimously recognized and highly praised by the experts and scholars attending the meeting. In addition, we also had friendly exchanges with other geoparks.
