China Huangshan UNESCO Global Geopark and Iran Aras UNESCO Global Geopark become friendly parks

On June 29, Huangshan UNESCO Global Geopark signed a friendly park cooperation agreement with Iran Aras UNESCO Global Geopark, agreeing to establish a friendly park relationship, and to carry out extensive exchanges and cooperation in nature protection, scientific research, management improvement, sustainable tourism and other aspects.
Aras joined the Global Geopark Network in 2023. There are many similarities between Aras and Huangshan. Both have magnificent geological landscape and rich biodiversity,  important traces of earth geology, extraordinary cultural heritage, and are deeply blended with nature and humanity.
